On the hot and sunny Southwestern coast of Mauai, Wailea Beach Hawaii is protected by large black lava points which boarder both ends of the crescent shaped beach.

A big and wide stretch of sand, Wailea Beach is a popular spot. It has a paved walk running the length of it, connecting the beach with the world class hotels, restaurants and shops that line its shore.

Wailea Beach Hawaii is also a great place to do some whale watching. From the month of December right into April, Whales can be spotted from shore or you could take a whale watching boat tour. While watching these creatures from shore can be fun, being right up close to these massive whales is an experience you’ll remember for a life time.

Thanks to the lava points on either end of the shore, the water is calm, making Wailea Beach a great place for swimming.

It is also a great spot to enjoy sunbathing and snorkeling. There are places near the beach where you can rent equipment if needed. Wailea Beach also has both restrooms and showers.
