Sound to perfect to be true? Welcome to Lanikai Beach Hawaii, the name means “heavenly sea” and now you can see why. Lanikai Beach is one of the top beaches in the world.

Lanikai Beach is a tropical paradise, with tall palms and lush surroundings. The water that falls upon the shore is crystal clear, and stunning turquoise. Standing up, out of the ocean are the two Mokulua Islands, creating the perfect backdrop. All of this, completes the atmosphere of Lanikai Beach Hawaii.

Located on the windward side of Oahu, in Kailua, Lanikai Beach is just around the corner from Kailua Beach. Though unlike Kailua, Lanikai Beach doesn’t have lifeguards, restrooms or other such facilities. Keeping this in mind, remember to always swim with someone, and to pay attention to changing weather.

Be sure to watch out for stinging, Limu (a type of seaweed) and the Portuguese Man-of-War, a blue jellyfish, who’s sting can pack a punch. Especially be wary of them between the months of June to September.

Lanikai Beach Hawaii is said to be one of the best beaches for swimming, and is a favorite of both visitors and the locals. Lanikai also is a great spot for snorkeling, you might even see a sea turtle down in it’s natural habitat.
